In the middle of Kansas we hit 108 today.
Tomorrow is supposed to be 105.
They wont even tell us what the heat index is.
If you have to ask you don't want to know!

It is not supposed to be this hot until August!
Luckily the farmers harvested before the heat & said it was actually a good crop.

Whats the temperature where you live?

It's 70F (20C) here, but it is winter in this part of the world.

70f is winter?
Surely you jest!

Edit: I will trade you that 70 for 108 any day even if I have to convert it to celsius!
Lets see, is that divide by two and then add 32 or add 32 then divide by two.

We hit 80 today which is unseasonably cool. We also had a pretty good rainstorm over the last couple of days which is very irregular. I've heard some crops are in danger of being destroyed due to mold.

Surely you jest!

We have very mild winters here.

I hate all you guys!!

108 with high humidity and a 20-30 mile an hour wind out of the south that slaps you in the face like an oven is no fun!

Anybody got a condo for rent for the summer?

Eyesee, your neighbors to the south are experiencing a heatwave, also. 104° the other day, 101° yesterday. Seems pretty typical for this time of year in Okieville.

Eyesee - I spent a year in Kansas (Ft. Riley) while in the army. The winter was freezing cold and the summer was hot & humid. Then there were the tornado alerts and the hailstorms with stones as big as golf balls. No, thank you. I couldn't wait to leave there and get back to Calif.

Eyesee, sounds like you got the heat we had last week, I live in NM, and it usually gets up into the high 90's around here, but for almost two weeks we had temps over 100. The hottest day I think for us was 110. We went to get fuel and the digital thermometer, on the bank gave the temp as 110 and hubby jokingly said 106 in the shade. We were under a roof at the fuel station. it's been really hot here as well and that usually hits in August for us also. I think we may have a early winter this year, Be just our luck. House is in chunks and no heating.

Rofl, and just a couple months ago I was complaining about having to spend several nights in a motel because of the frost on the walls inside my house, and no heat vents under it. LOL. I need to win the lottery or have a rich relative leave me some money. I'd like to replace this metal tunnel with some brick and wood framing.

Strollin - Ft Riley us just up the road on I70 about 20 miles. I know exactly where it is.
Yep, the weather is exactly as you described!

I kind of like it when you guys post in celsius.
If I ingnore the celsius part it at least makes me feel cool!

The weather forecast today was for only 99F but it is already 108!
If it gets into the 70's I might have to get out my winter coat!!
