Hi, this is my first post. This site seems to have a very effective and helpful community.

The following are my symptoms: Google Redirect, Audio add popup, slow computer, security center will not update.
I am on XP professional, and I use firefox.

I have tried fixing with avast, malwarebytes, and ad-aware.
Someone on the following thread recommended comboFix
http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Web%20Search/thread?tid=6df7e15519290612&hl=en

I ran comboFix, browsing was fast, and without symptoms for about 5 minutes. But all problems returned except the last one i mentioned (security center will not update).

Thanks for you help

**just noticed the guideline: do not run combofix unless requested to :(
***this is a repeat of a topic i made in another forum on this site, could not figure out how to move the post.
