Hello All,
I have a Dell XPS M1530.
I backed up all the data on the harddrive. I reinstalled the hard drive and attempted to boot into the Recovery Partition to reinstall Vista. The System Repair starts, then exits with BCCode -0x00000050 Page_fault_in_Nonpaged_area
I've tried booting from a Recovery CD as well, which gets a little further, but still fails with the same error.
Have I corrupted the filesystem? I'd love to run the chkdsk equivalent but I can't seem to get to a command prompt.
Safe mode, starting windows normally, do not work.
Summary: Recovery disc and Recovery partition fail with BCCode 0x50
I'm stumped. Is there 3rd party software available to fix the filesystem? I am hoping the recovery partition is not toast.
