Looks like i'm in the market for a new external hard drive. I have a maxtor 80gb that seems to have gone bad. I have had it less than a year. I don't know if I want to replace it with another Maxtor. I am wondering what other members think of their external hard drives. Have you had any go bad? How long has yours worked? Any info would be grand. Thanks
I also have a 80gb slaved behind a 40 Mator. Both were new, 4+years ago, when I installed them. Have been good drives for me I have a total of 8-40gb hard drive in various computers at my house.
