Looks like i'm in the market for a new external hard drive. I have a maxtor 80gb that seems to have gone bad. I have had it less than a year. I don't know if I want to replace it with another Maxtor. I am wondering what other members think of their external hard drives. Have you had any go bad? How long has yours worked? Any info would be grand. Thanks

I have a Western Digital 120 gB external USB drive that cost me about $120 several months ago. It works flawlessly!
