Does anyone know of some good websites that have instructions on how to console mod? Mainly I'm looking for XBox 360 modding instructions. Sites like www.umodit.com are good but I want to know if there are anymore around that have different methods for modding.

Appreciate any help you can provide.

Modding you 360 is pointless unless your burning your own games (which we can't help with). The S models there isn't much "known" last time I checked, and the first gen and elite are pretty maxed out from factory. No matter what your system will only survive about 6 months before MS J-tags it and bans your account and dont think that playing on a J-taged system offline works either it still damages your profile.

The only real mod that wont get you j-taged is the hard drive swap for First gens and elites, if you can do it right.

Ive heard of people modding their xboxs so they can turn them into linux based style desktops and the like, but like blackspyder has stated-your live account gets banned, so if your planning on playing online this wouldnt be a good option.

there are actually a lot of "mods" that can be very helpful
most of them are cooling improvements as the cooling in the 360 is
PATHETIC

the acknowledged xperts on xbox anything would be xboxscene
microsoft even sends them demo stuff to show off

xboxscene

they are strictly on the legal side of mods
what you do beyond their website is up to your own moral compass
You, yes YOU! STAND STILL WITH IT! How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?

se7ensins.com is another good source for xbox modding information and lots of how to's... it's where I learned my original xbox so many years ago.
