I keep getting Windows security message that they "can't turn on updates & go to systems in control panel and select automatic" When I go there it is already checked but still no updates. Can you help me?

Hi -

First, can you look in Control Panel > Add / Remove area and see your last update and find the last date ?
This may determine the last time you could update.

Also can you visit the update site manually ?

Thank You

I don't exactly know what to look for in add remove .Funny my microsoft essentials seem to have no problem updating or anything else for that matter. Just windows .Can't update manually either.Get error .Contact online support. Might do that. I am also still getting a blue screen shut down. Thanks for your help.

You could have Automatic Updates services disabled. Go into msconfig and go to services and see if "Automatic Updates" is running. If not, then enable it. Make sure you uncheck everything. Then recheck the Automatic Updates and click enable.
