IS IT POSSIBLE TO SAVE AN E-MAIL ATTACHMENT AS A FILE ON AN IPAD2?

A TEXT FILE OR AN MP3 FILE.

A text file maybe but an mp3 most likely not unless you get an app like filler or dropbox. Although dropbox is cloud storage so it would not really be on the iPad itself.
