Notebook Monitor Freaking Out

My monitor just freaked out on me. The entire left side of the screen went black and the rest of the display got too dark to make anything out while I had it plugged in. When you unplug it, the brightness automatically adjusts down. This was above and beyond unplugging. After I unplugged it and plugged it back in, it returned to normal. Am I going to need to send it in?

It was my cell phone... Just got an aftermarket antenna on it and that's the cause...
