The bride and I chose this song and I sang it.
I really wanted 'Wild Thing' by Jimi Hendrix, thank God she's the brains

IN MY LIFE .... The Beatles

There are places I値l remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I致e loved them all

But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I値l never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I値l often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

Though I know I値l never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I値l often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
In my life I love you more

How about Saint Saens Danse Macabre*. Just kidding! :flowers: Actually, I kind of like Dixie Chicken by Little Feat.

*For those who aren't familiar with this clasical work, the translation of the title is "The Dance of Death".

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

 :flowers: Hello bgardner. My better-half and I picked the song "Nothing's gonna stop us now", by Starship. The words were the key to our choice...Have a great day...Always...Marion :trumpet: :inlove:

Hi bg,

Check this song out. When God made you...

The group is Newsong - accompanied my Natalie Grant.

Its always been a mystery to me
How two hearts can come together
And love can last forever
But now that I have found you, I believe
That a miracle has come
When God sends the perfect one
Now gone are all my questions about why
And Ive never been so sure of anything in my life

(Chorus)
I wonder what God was thinking
When He created you
I wonder if He knew everything I would need
Because He made all my dreams come true
When God made you
He must have been thinking about me

I promise that wherever you may go
Wherever life may lead you
With all my heart Ill be there too
From this moment I want you to know
Ill let nothing come between us
And I will love the ones you love
Now gone are all my question about why
And Ive never been so sure of anything in my life

(Repeat Chorus)

(Bridge)
He made the sun He made the moon
To harmonize in perfect tune
One cant move without the other
They just have to be together
And that is why I know its true
Youre for me and Im for you
Cause my world just cant be right
Without you in my life

(Repeat Chorus)

(Tag)
He mustve heard every prayer Ive been praying
Yes He knew everything I would need
When God made you
When dreams come true
When God made you
He mustve been thinking about me

Billy Idol's, "White Wedding"? Well, I dunno ... maybe not.

"We've Only Just Begun" the Carpenters? I dunno, kinda antiquish now that we're in the 21st Century

Hmmm ... Seems like that choice might be important, too. Good Luck to ya' both! :flowers:

I LOVE this song, and the artist wrote it for a wedding:

Time of My Life - Written and Sung by Mark Schultz

He packed his bags when he was just 18
To see a world he thought he'd never seen
But he knew when he met her
That she was the girl
He'd been waiting for

And each night they spent talking on the front porch swing
And like it came straight out of a movie scene
But one night she stepped out as the sun began to set
When she got to the porch she found a letter that read

You're the only girl I'll ever love
And I'd do anything not to give you up
If I could only stop the world
When you're standing by my side
See I'm having the time of my life
Yes, I'm having the time of my life

The months went by it was their wedding day
A church on a hill wedding bells rang away
She looked like a princess
All dressed up in pearls
It was her proudest day

And he stood all alone in a darkened church hallway
He got down on his knees and he started to pray
He thanked the Lord for his family and the perfect bride
But he couldn't hold back what he was feelin' inside
And he said

She's the only girl I'll ever love
And I'd do anything not to give her up
If I could only stop the world
When she's standing by my side
See, I'm having the time of my life
Yes, I'm having the time of my life

Forty years went by and she lived most of God's plan
She stood alone in an attic, wedding dress in her hand
And she held an old letter written so long ago
But she'd never forget it
No matter how old

And as she turned to put the dress away
And pack up the years
He was standing in the doorway
With his eyes full of tears
And he held her

'Cause you're the only girl I'll ever love
And I'd do anything not to give you up
If I could only stop the world
When you're standing by my side
See I'm having the time of my life
Yes, I'm having the time of my life

Good luck with the wedding!

Do you have a special song from when you first met? First slow song you danced together to or something like that?

We had "Always and Forever" by Heatwave but should have had "Willow" by Joan Armatrading (We didn't know what to pick so went on the suggestion of the DJ!)

Good Luck with the Wedding

Well ever since I've heard this song I've been hooked and I think it is romantic. It is kinda slow/mellow. Just a remind, I don't know much about weddings, I've only attended a few.

Save Tonight - Eagle Eye Cherry

Go on and close the curtains
cause all we need is candle light
You and me and a bottle of wine
going to hold you tonight
Well we know I'm going away
and how I wish, I wish it weren't so
So take this wine and drink with me
let's delay our misery

Save tonight
and fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow
tomorrow I'll be gone

Save tonight
and fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow
tomorrow I'll be gone

There's a log on the fire
and it burns like me for you
Tomorrow comes with one desire
to take me away it's true
It ain't easy to say goodbye
darling please don't start to cry
Cause girl you know I've got to go, oh
Lord I wish it wasn't so

Save tonight
and fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow
tomorrow I'll be gone

Save tonight
and fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow
tomorrow I'll be gone

Tomorrow comes to take me away
I wish that I, that I could stay
Girl you know I've got to go, oh
Lord I wish it wasn't so

Save tonight
and fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow
tomorrow I'll be gone

Save tonight
and fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow
tomorrow I'll be gone

Save tonight
and fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow
tomorrow I'll be gone

Save tonight
and fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow
tomorrow I'll be gone
tomorrow I'll be gone
tomorrow I'll be gone
tomorrow I'll be gone
tomorrow I'll be gone

Save tonight
Save tonight
Save tonight
Save tonight

Nineteen years going on twenty, we owe it all to The Power of Love by Jennifer Rush! Well, maybe not all, but we still get all reminiscent whenever and wherever we hear it. By the way, it may not work for everone as Princess Diana and Charles were rumoured to dance to this at their wedding. Whatever song you choose, that first dance as husband and wife will be a highlight in your lives. Best wishes!
