I recently had the XP repair virus (running XP Pro SP3 32-bit). I was able to remove it with malwarebytes, superantispyware and spybot. It hid all my icons and folders so I found a site that showed me how to unhide everything. The virus seems to be gone but at the same time I also got a browser hijacker that redirects any google, yahoo search and others. It affects IE 8, Firefox 4 and Google Chrome. Also there are browser popups every 10 minutes when I'm not even using the internet. Nothing seems to find any virus's though. I've disconnected the internet cable for now.
