In another thread I asked about whether or not it was feasible to imbed a video in an emailed newletter or where I could host biz videos. Thanks for all who responded.

In that thread I was reminded of the sticky for all the free video editing software. But I find the list/task of picking a program totally overwhelming.

Can someone recommend a good free (or minimal cost) video editing program for a Flip Ultra HD video camera?

Thanks again to all you kind folks,

One question, doesn't the Flipshare software with your camera allow editing of your movies and uploading to YouTube etc.

I'll leave it to others to suggest freeware - I've never found a program which is not restricted in some way.

I use a commercial program, Roxio, not to everyone's taste.

I believe that one of the better programs is Sony Vegas:

Not free, but the basic program is quite reasonably priced and may just be suitable for your needs.

Yes, you are correct that the Flip does come with some software; we were just looking for something with a little more flexibility.

Thanks for the reply,
