A friend gave me an Iomega Zip drive. It looks like nothing more than an external CD-ROM. Am I right? It is an older one, model says Z100USB. Researching actually told me nothing. THANKS!!

Throw it away, outdated technology...predates CD/DVDs. I had 2 of these in 1997 or so :).
