I have recently recovered from the trojan Security Center XP (again, thank you for the detailed removal instructions). My Internet Explorer has been running well but now I have tried to Login to a new MLS Real Estate site and I get two error messages. One says page not working properly, terminate or debug. The next says the ActiveX IRCSharc.cab from "The Family Corporation" could not be installed. When I hit okay it completely freezes and won't even allow my Task Manager to get me out of it. I've tried unblocking the pop-ups before even logging in and once I'm in I can't even get to the bar to install. Funny enough, this file does not exist as a .cab file on my C: drive and whenever I have searched the web about the file it is always coming up in a log of someone infected! I briefly looked here but did not see it listed as a harmful file. I reinstalled IE 8 just in case some files were missing or corrupt but the same thing happened. I am running Kaspersky Internet Security. Thanks for your help.

Is there no way to manually install this ActiveX Control or is it a harmful file and I should use something else? I really need to use this site for business...

The MLS ActiveX files MUST be installed for the program to run properly.

Disable your firewall if you have one. You can leave the antivirus running but be aware that it may ask you if it's OK to continue a few times.

From the Start menu right click on Internet Explorer (not the 64bit version) and select run as an administrator.

From the "Tools" menu select "Internet Options" select the "Security" tab and unceck the "Enable Protected Mode" check box, Select the "Trusted Sites" Tab and the "Sites" button. Type in "*.mlxchange.com", uncheck the "require server verification" box and select "Add" and "OK". Then close and restart Internet Explorer using the method above again.

Then navigate to your mlxchange.com site and select the "Install activeX files" link on the bottom of the graphic. click on "Install" and approve every popup box until all the icons change to red checks. This process might have to be repeated 2 or 3 times to get all the components installed.

If anybody asks the programmers at MLXCHANGE truly SUCK at customer experience! All this could be run from an installer if they wanted.
