On my moms laptop, a gateway seems almost weekly or every couple of weeks it hangs up windows starting screen and does nothing. I've been able to boot into safe mode. but have no idea what to change in there to make it boot normally. its usually after she turns it on after its been sitting all day off. I thought it was windows updates or something so i shut off automatic updates. But it still does it. I updated the BIOS, and everything else possible to update after each Windows 7 install. I just wish i had an answer for her why it needs to be re-installed all the time. Any help would be grateful!
