I'm using Windows Defender it is Microsoft Antivirus. You will get this software by default in windows 10 or 8 otherwise, you can download it from Microsoft website. It's really good free antivirus software I'm still using it and never give me any problem working perfectly on my laptop and PC.

With this you mean it is free or do we still need to pay a subscription?

Windows 8/10 Defender is Microsoft's free built-in (integrated) anti-virus and anti-malware solution. Windows 8/10 Defender provides the same level of protection against malware as Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) provides on older operation systems plus enhanced protection against rootkits and bootkits.

Windows Defender Antivirus in Windows 10 Creators Update offers even more protection.

Does anyone have any experience with Total AV? Is this a reputable AV software?

My anti-virus blocked me from accessing the totalav.com website but I found this write up...[SCAM ALERT] Is TotalAV a Total SCAM? by AskBobRankin

TotalAV is touted as number one by the "review" site Top10BestAntivirus.com, which I now believe is a bogus enterprise that exists only to steer traffic to sketchy sites in return for money....Also telling is the fact that Top10BestAntivirus.com lists TotalAV, PC Protect, and ScanGuard as #1, #2 and #4 on it's page of The Top 10 Best Antivirus Software 2018. That tells me one of two things for sure. Either this site is run by SS Protect as a dishonest plug for their own products, or they are being paid by SS Protect to promote those three obviously scammy products....My advice is to stay away from Top10BestAntivirus.com, TotalAV, PC Protect, and ScanGuard. And if you should find the name “SS Protect, Limited” in any program’s policies, run for your digital life!

I do not understand what SUPERAntiSpywar does in this list. This program on the contrary has brought to me viruses on my computer.

SUPERAntiSpyware is a second opinion anti-malware scanner which can detect and remove spyware, adware, dialers, Trojans, worms, keyLoggers, browser hijackers and other types of threats including advanced Process Interrogation Technology (PIT) to detect and remove rootkits. SUPERAntiSpyware is not as effective as it use to be when compared to other popular anti-malware scanners but it offers additional helpful features...system tools with the ability to repair registry damage and broken Internet connection caused by malware infection, an unwanted program uninstall feature, a system investigator and an advanced file remover.

If you want to use SUPERAntiSpyware, I recommend using the free version as a separate stand-alone on-demand scanner. The free version does not provide real-time protection, auto-Scanning, auto-updates or scheduled scanning so there is no need for it to run at startup and waste system resources. However, it does offer technology to deal with some rootkit infections and gives you another tool to use for a second opinion or in the event of malware infection where some of your tools may be disabled.
