Seems I've been mugged for my lunch money.
I'm getting strange re-directs from google searches.
Tried to login to aol mail acct (my throwaway email acct) & it wanted account verification. credit card, etc
Running has slowed significantly.
System is XP Pro, SP3, IE8 all with latest updates
My svchost.exe has blossomed to 8 or 9 instantiations when no apps are running
Any access to secure sites is blocked by queries asking for credit card info, et al.
