i'm looking for a host that will host a subdomain from my domain ie. name.hintswen.com

I have looked for a host that can do this but i can only find hosts that require me to change my nameservers.

ok i got no idea what u mean by that because no-ip isn't a HOST. i don't want to cloak my host's ip or turn it into a nameserver.

My apology. I reread the first line in your first post. I read it that you want a free secondary domain. NO-IP allows you to host from your own computer if you have a dynamic IP address. It's free if you use one of there domains and pick a second domain to identify your computer.
Once again sorry for the bad info.

no problem. I can't even figure out whet esactly i'm looking for, I would contact a few hosts and ask them if they can host the subdomains without me changing my nameservers but i'm so confused about it that i'd just sound like a idiot asking lol.

ok if anyone understands me can you pleese rtell me what type of record i should be changing? i found some 'free dns hosts' and they all offer different things, ie secondary DNS, AXFR service, Pv6, dynamic DNS, URL cloaking, CNAME, A, AAAA, MX, and NS records.

what i'm trying to do is have name.hintswen.com hosted in a different place to www.hintswen.com that way if my host went down name.hintswen.com would still work also i would be able to give someone name.hintswen.com and they can signup for a host and just give me the details to change.

I think what you are looking at is a reseller Hosting Account http://www.google.com/search?q=reseller+Hosting+Account

Edit= after reading your last post, what you are looking for is just a dns service that lets you have control. There are several out there, I personally use http://zoneedit.com/ to handle DNS for a small domain that has 5 hosts on the net that do essentually what you are thinking of doing.

no, not a reseller account. I won't be selling and i don't want to change my nameservers or anything cause my bot has to stay hosted by my corrent host.

i just want a host that friends can sighnup for and i can attach a subdomain to.

Oh and i prefer not paying anything lol

I use zoneedit also and it has the ability to do what you want.
I don't know if buydomains has the ability.
zoneedit will allow you to point hintswen.com at one IP
and anything.hintswen.com to a different IP. Check
your NS config and see if that option is available.

as far as i can tell i can do that, but i don't know much about DNS settings.

i have www.hintswen.com and irpg.hintswen.com pointing to my host and entertainmentonline.hintswen.com pointing to InvisionFree's server. is that what you mean cause that's a different IP

If i login to buydomains.com and go to my dns settings... under 'Add records' i can select NS if that's what you ment. I can add any of the following:
A
AAAA
MX
CNAME
NS
SOA
TXT
and it's also got:
Add a value-added service
Add from Zone File

so you are using a web forward for the invision site? (entertainmentonline.hintswen.com)

Here's a look at mine from ZE:

Domain Name IP Address
aa.sdsowns.com 24.32.5.119 <-this used to point to my server

Mail Servers:
Domain Server Rank
sdsowns.com MailForward™ 0

WebForwards: New Domain Destination
sdsowns.com http://s11.invisionfree.com/SevenDeadlySins/index.php <-these used to go to a seperate host
forum.sdsowns.com http://s11.invisionfree.com/SevenDeadlySins/index.php <-
forums.sdsowns.com http://s11.invisionfree.com/SevenDeadlySins/index.php <-forums go to invision
www.sdsowns.com http://s11.invisionfree.com/SevenDeadlySins/index.php <-

I hope that helps some
