I have a fairly new HP computer with Windows 7 - I have dual Acer 23" monitors. Everything was great until I unplugged one of my monitors and now it has gone back to the BASIC display at a maximum of 1600 x 1200. My other monitor will display at 1920 x 1080.

I have an ATI Radeon HD 4200 Graphics card. when I go to my desk top and right click to get SCREEN RESOLUTION, the screen shws the proper Acer display for Monitor 1. On Monitor 2 it has the display for GENERIC NON-PHP MONITOR. I click the pull down menu and it shows me the Acer S232HL just like on MONITOR 1 but as soon as I try and click on it, the screen toggles to MONITOR 1. Does anyone have any ideas what I need to do to correct this?

The twin monitors are identical and they support HD.
