I have four machines myself and a lot of folks that call me for help. What's up with all the updates this week already. I had to do updates twice on two of the machines. One was a 64 bit Intell the other a 32 bit OS AMD64 Netbook (Asus1015T) I don't even see anyone commenting here!

Hello!

Updates are good, and there is something called patch Tuesday, and if they see something wasn't fixed in those patches that is deemed critical then they will release another patch.

I have 3 Win7 and one Vista. I have just not seen this much activity for a year or so and maybe not as intense ever. I was o travel and the little Netbook went into the "update jig" for at least 30 mins. When I got home my answering machine was like a disco ball and I started updating the others!

Oh yea they call because I keep telling them "updates are good!"

The second Tuesday of the month is the day that Microsoft releases updates other than emergency patches. Some months, there are only a handful, others they come out by the truckload:

Adobe and Oracle also released important updates to Flash and Java, respectively.

Updates and patches is part of what we are paying for when buying Windows. I did 3 of my computers and had no problems. Their will always be updates and that is a good thing. Most of the updates are for security and the rest are for making things work smoother. Smother and security are good things.
