i'm unable to start windows in my desktop pc. it's an hp with windows media center os. model m7000
i can boot into safe mode, but can't open anything from there.
i get the following when trying to open system restore.(windows could not start because file is missing or corrupt windows/system32/config/system
i didn't get any os discs when i purchased the computer 6 years ago. i contacted hp, they said sorry, no recovery/install discs are available for that system. i'm also unable to get to the recovery console from safe mode. need help. thanks in advance.
