Hello, and thanks for reading.

I've been using my Huawei Ascend Android phone as a modem *using the app PdaNet* for 2 months and have noticed the data transfer is slowing down, significantly. At first, I manually stopped apps that were running simultaneously with PdaNet *they reactivate seconds later; no point*. They I resorted to Advanced Task Killer, an app that stops apps from running in the background automatically *same story; apps revived themselves second later*. I've attached my phone to my pc's fastest USB port and no dice. My last guess is that a virus/bug is responsible. The last time I was infected, PdaNet didn't work at all. Also, I'm using the full, paid version of PdaNet. My pc is running on Windows Vista 32bit.

Any tips or advice as to how to increase my speed? Thank you in advance.
