Used to bluescreen with 1033 every now and again (maybe once a month or so) and I more or less ignored it but now its happening every couple days and I was a tad worried so I followed the steps and got this.

You don't by any chance use Norton/Symantec security software?? as this could be the source of your BSOD... if so you need to remove norton with this..... http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20080710133834EN ....if you wish to keep norton you can reinstall it.
But I would personally bin it, it is very resource hungry and not very good at keeping out the nasties, there are loads of FREE AV's and Security Suits available that do a much better job, I personally am using Comodo Internet Security now after dumping AVG (as that has gone bloaty and glitchy like norton) and it has been the best thing that i could do as my machine is loving it....... http://majorgeeks.com/Comodo_Internet_Security_d6234.html

odin88 - What makes you think Norton has anything to do with this?

Alvaaron - Download BlueScreenView:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html
unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe to run the program.
when scanning is done, go to EDIT - Select All
Go to FILE - SAVE Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all of the content, and paste it into your next reply

Iain.

I haven't used Norton in in like eight or nine years when I realized how bad of a program it is. I use PandaCloud now.

odin88 - What makes you think Norton has anything to do with this?

Alvaaron - Download BlueScreenView:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html
unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe to run the program.
when scanning is done, go to EDIT - Select All
Go to FILE - SAVE Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all of the content, and paste it into your next reply

The reason behind me thinking that this could be norton is that a a friends machine was having very simalar issues and it was down to him not uninstalling norton properly and the norton removal tool resolved his issues, blue screen with error 1033 and a pool_corruption error.
Sorry if I have misled the OP , that was not my intention , all I intended was to point out that norton potentially can cause this to happen.

So uh I have this crazy theory about my bluescreens....I think its the Zune program. I've actually had this happen before I got this computer, the Zune program would just randomly cause bluescreens and I would use something else and eventually go back to Zune and the cycle repeats. Would this be because the program is terrible or my bad luck?

That was actually the first thing I did before making this thread and nothing out of the ordinary popped up.

Have you tried updating your drivers i.e ... Video/Sound cards only use the makers own updated drivers not the ones windows find, always go to the manufacturers site for them.

So uh I got a little freaked out just now, one of my picture folders got corrupted (was able to recover an earlier version thankfully). This also happened to be my backgrounds folder that I have cycling every 5 minutes, with over 1000 pictures in the folder, could this be the cause of my bluescreens?
