For a certain piece of software stated requirements include processor of Pentium 3.0 GHz, but on the net, recommended requirements are Intel Core 2 Duo 2.20GHz. What exactly is the difference between the two? Why do the recommended requirements appear to be less than the stated ones?

What software are you talking about, and the difference is the architecture type used. The old P4's use a slower architecture then the newer core based processors. And the Core based processors are usually much much faster when compared to the older P4's.

There is a minimum and recommended system requirements for software. The stated requirements you said was Pentium 3.0Ghz which most likely is the minimum reqiurements of the software whereas the Core 2 Duo is probably the the recommended requirements. It might be referring the to the old single core Pentium and the Core 2 Duo has a lower clock speed but is faster because of the dual core.

I ran the software with Intel Core 2 Duo 2.20GHz but it seems a bit slow. What can I do to correct this?

Are you having issues connecting to the internet on that machine, and thats why you attached it?

I specifically request that information be attached if you have issues connecting to the net.

Please post the link as directed in the tutorial.

The graphics card just meets the minimum requirements, it would be a good idea to upgrade it but we need to know your wattage of the power supply and the budget.
