Loading windows 7 on a machine that had vista before gives error "Insert

I have a dell inspiron desktop. it had windows vista on it, and I wanted to install a fresh copy of windows 7. But when the install process gets to the point of setting up the network, it says "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive \device\Harddisk1\DR1. What does that mean and what should I do
