For a while now, my local area connection status has been showing a massive number of packets sent out over the internet, with a much smaller amount of packets being received. I thought it to be my old wireless router acting up, however I just installed a new one yet the problem persists. Now I worry the computer may be infected with something.
Here is some information on my computer:
OS: Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 version 2002
Internet: DSL

Any information regarding this problem would be greatly appreciated! If you need any more information, please let me know.

Thank you
