My computer has a freak out and restarts itself every time I am downloading a large file like a movie.. Is there some common reason for this?

The first things that come to my mind. Do you have enough hard drive space? Are you using a bit torrent to download the movie? Does this restart happen when you are doing anything else on your computer? I know I have answered a question with questions but information is need for me or others to help you. I have read some where that a infected computer can do this. Update and scan with your anti virus and Malwarebyes Anti Malware. To my knowledge their is no one thing that causes this problem.
Your computer specs would help because you could be running out of ram.
