I hope you can help me, BC.

I don't know how it happened, but suddenly certain programs stopped showing any text. I think I may have accidentally deleted some fonts, but I have no idea how.

More information in these screenshots.

I tried using System Restore to restoringly restore a previous restore point, but it failed and asked me to try again. When I tried again all restore points had been deleted. Isn't that just awesome?

Anyway, I think re-installing all fonts might fix this. So I would like to know where I can download all default Windows 7 fonts.

I have already tried this and this. This is the only type of help I've been able to find on Google.

Can you someone help me, please?

Thanks for your reply. I tried that and it fixed Firefox! Steam is still a mess, though... But, thanks! Firefox was a lot more important!

You may need to delete the steam.styles file under steam\resource\styles folder and allow it to be redownloaded. You will then have to restart steam, but to make it completes exit steam completely then delete the file then restart steam.

I decided to just delete everything in the Steam folder, except Steam.exe and the steamapps folder, and re-download everything. It didn't work. Still missing just the text. Should I have mentioned before that the .zip archive, on that Steam Support page you posted, was partially corrupt? Because it was. It had enough working fonts to fix Firefox, but not Steam.

You know, I can just ask Steam Support about this. You've already helped me fix Firefox and that was the most important thing, so thanks! I really appreciate it!

Do you have any anti-malware tools running when downloading zipped files?

Did you download it via a download manager?

I have Bitdefender Total Security 2011. Never had a virus of any kind.

No, just the standard Firefox downloading thingy. Though, I did download it on another computer, and moved it to my laptop via a flash drive.

Some security software albeit rare can corrupt downloads, and even file transfers from flash drives. I would recommend downloading it from the site again this time on the computer you are having the issues with.

I tried that too. It didn't work. Can you try downloading it to see if you get a corrupt one as well?

Yeah, I'll just fill in a support ticket with Steam Support. Thanks for your help!

You mean, it's your fonts folder? Should I just unzip all these to my fonts folder?
