I will attach my log file here, but first let me just explain.....

I have seen other's gripes about doing a search in yahoo or google, then it opens up the results. Any link you click on in the results re-routes to a bogus or crap site that is not the actual site. I know it is in the HOSTS file. I actually found it and all the 'bogus' entries. Problem is, I thought just deleting it and putting a copy of the original HOSTS file would fix it......NOT! So, somehow, it is still kicking my butt and I am soooo tired of doing all the deep scans with Adaware, and spybot, and hitman, and a couple others. I added AVG, and I am pretty sure her PC is clean but that stupid file.

Below is the log file from Hijack This. I have an idea of what to remove, but would really appreciate help from someone that really knows what they are doing. I have messed up enough in this process :(

Somethings to remember while we are working together.

  • Do not run any other tool untill instructed to do so!
  • Please Do not Attach logs or put in code boxes.
  • Tell me about any problems that have occurred during the fix.
  • Tell me of any other symptoms you may be having as these can help also.
