I read the latest post on SpywareStrike. I have downloaded the latest version of smitRem and ran it as listed in the instructions. The popup has stopped but the Icon for spywarestrike is still on the desktop and the spywar~1 is in the program files subdirectory. I don't want to try to delete this for fear of re-installation of the problem.

What should I do?
