I'm helping a friend online with this problem. The virus is so nasty, that it actually penetrates through on safe mode (giggity!). She was in safe mode, after running iexplorer.exe version of RKill; proceeded to run malware bytes. As it was running, the system just shut down on its own. The laptop probably ran out on battery life.....but the same thing happened in safe mode again after she got it plugged in. We're trying in normal mode, iexplorer.exe version of rkill and running the scan again to see if it does the same thing. I'll post again if that fails...which I hope it doesn't, but just to ask, anyone else experience this problem?
