Hi, my mom barely knows how to launch a browser and frequently needs help.

What would be perfect is to be able to, (like Dell does) access her computer from my home and install software she needs, fix problems, etc...

I have tried things like realVNC but after about an hour of not getting very far I realized there is no way she was going to install it on her end.

Any help will be so over the top greatly appreciated by me and my mother. She'll bake you a brisket if you're ever in town

PS I'm running 7 basic on my end and she has Vista on desktop and 7 on laptop.

TeamViewer is probably the easiest. You will need to run it on your end and your mom will need to run it on her end but there is no setup, she runs it and provides you with some codes you use to connect. Very easy.

That was exactly what I needed. So painless, thank you so much. Thank you x 1000
