I started having this problem after a virus attack on Monday morning. At first, my files were missing and although I got the virus out. The laptop has not been the same ever since. After reading some of the posts related to my problem. I ran the unhide program which has helped but has soleve or brought back my computer to the original status before the attack.

Now I get 2 messsages: 1; from the Settings.ini and 2; from the Input Personalization Server. On top of this, I can't access explorer though the Windows button on the bottom left and I can't open my AV program. It tries to open but fails after a few seconds.

These are the messages that appear at start up.

1: "Settings.ini is being used by another process. Close the other program and then click Retry, or click cancel to exit."

2: "Input Personalization Server has stopped working.."

3: This appears when I wanted to uninstall a program. "Error 1606. Couldn't access network location AlexIda\Appdata\local\."

Your help will be GREATLY APPRECIATED..

Thank you
