Hello everyone,
I was on the internet last night on imdb.com, when my computer suddenly disconnected from my wireless network, and the color scheme changed to Windows 7 Basic. I thought something was up, so I shut off my computer via the power button. I then used the power button to turn it back on. Everything was fine until after I logged in. The "Welcome" screen with the circle loader froze. I never saw the desktop. Nothing was happening, so I again shut if off. I restarted again. This time, it froze during "Starting Windows." I restarted again. Same thing. I then restarted again, and this time, Windows "attempted to fix the problems." It couldn't. I then restarted again, and did a system restore to the previous day. I can now get to the login screen again, but it always freezes before it actually logs in.

Another weird thing: It is a laptop. If it is not plugged in, it will shut off about 5 seconds after if freezes.

Anyone know what this is or how to fix it?? Thank you soo much! :)

Edit: Moved topic from Win 7 to the more appropriate forum. ~ Animal
