Greetings. My friends Windows Vista Home Premium on an HP laptop won't let her log on in normal mode. We can get on in safe mode though.

After entering her password on the log in screen we get a message that says: "User Profile Service Failed. User profile cannot be loaded."

Is there a simple fix for this? Appreciate any help on this problem.
