Hello, Im starting a new Site and Forum and wanted to test everything out before I put it online and start advertising, because this is my first time working with servers and my sql,
so if anyone can help me test the forums and site it would be really helpfull. Register, make posts, play around with all
of the functions of the site and forums, I would also like any comments or feedback as to other content that would be helpfull
on my site as I want it to be very user friendly and have as much usfull content as possible for people. So all suggestions welcome.
Thank you.

One quick observation...

Your forum seems to missing references to the default forum skin (stylesheet) and other graphics.

It seems incomplete:

Make sure the forum skin directory is in the same directory as where the forum is installed.

Since this is a two year old thread, it may be safe to assume that any issues have already been worked out. :)

Started this thread last night, its current, and no the problems not fixed, the skins still showing for everyone I direct to the site. Did you have (Lite Archive Mode) turned on in the forums, it also takes the skin away.

I looked at your Head code of the forum page and saw localhost (which is 127.0.0.1). I'm absolutely sure that the person who is viewing your website doesn't have your code stored and running on their machine.

<link href="http://localhost/mybb/syndication.php" title="Latest Threads (RSS 2.0)" type="application/rss+xml" rel="alternate">
<link href="http://localhost/mybb/syndication.php?type=atom1.0" title="Latest Threads (Atom 1.0)" type="application/atom+xml" rel="alternate"></font>
<script src="http://localhost/mybb/jscripts/prototype.js?ver=1603" type="text/javascript">
<script src="http://localhost/mybb/jscripts/general.js?ver=1603" type="text/javascript">
<script src="http://localhost/mybb/jscripts/popup_menu.js?ver=1600" type="text/javascript">
<link href="http://localhost/mybb/cache/themes/theme1/global.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

Change "localhost" to "65.111.125.41" on every page that doesn't show right and that should fix most of the visual and possible script problems.

Thank you, I didnt catch that, I thought it did it because I was viewing the source from my computer, so will I need to reinstall all the php scripts in the mysql database to fix the link problem or is there another way without reinstalling them?

Just a quick FYI. The site opens OK for me in IE8. :)

Don't like the white spaces on the left and right of the page.
The graphic at top left has the dreaded red cross; it's not a problem with my computer, btw.

Just edit the html head code and upload the edited html pages for now. I don't know much about php & sql linking together for a forum. I couldn't test your php code due to the localhost linkage in your headers, your php code may be ok and may not need any editing at all.

I'll be testing your site for problems and will edit this post with the errors or suggestions that I may find.

Errors:
  • I signed up as a new member to test all of the forums abilities but I haven't received the validating email yet.
  • New topic page is a little messed up with the text box and its typing tools (I only tested it in firefox 4.01 so far).
Suggestions:
  • You might want to set an attachment usage to about 5MB max instead of being unlimited to save space and for users that have a slow internet connection.
Also if you find any topics relating to my username and have "testing forum" in the topic name in the off topic part of the forum, you may delete it at any time.

Still nothing there.

Tried with both Firefox as well as Chrome, nothing would load except for the four links at the top.

The sites main content ip address has been changed. I assumed tas254 had a static ip address by his code. Tas254 you should get dynamic dns for the ip address to be updated automatically when your ip address changes.
