Dear all,

I've had to join this forum because of a problem that has begun to occur on my PC. It definitely looks like I've been infected.

Basically, every other page on google search results redirects to ebay/pubfinder/something else irrelevant. I don't know if this helps, but when it's ebay, the status bar reads 'rover.ebay.co.uk'.

The second problem I have is svchost.exe hogging CPU. Basically, it starts ok but after five minutes or so can be using over 250k of RAM. It slows my PC with 4GB RAM to a standstill...

Any help would be so gratefully received!

Many thanks.

Edit: Running Windows XP (32 bit) and have tried a few anti-virus programmes (not in Safe Mode) with no joy.
