I sure hope someone can help me, I like Google Chrome as my browser, it is so much faster than the rest. I had a problem with some of my Google

websites and had to uninstall them. Now, I have been attempting to reinstall Google Chrome but no matter how I try to go about it, IE9 stops me. A small window opens that says IE has stopped working.

Then I get this error from Google oxcoooooa5 Internet Explorer 9 usually just freezes the screen and the pointer go around in a circle, to get away from it I have to click Ctrl Alt delete and log off.
I sure need help. Thank you all for being here.

First of all, Internet Explorer isn't stopping you from doing anything. And Google isn't sending you any errors. Second, I'm having a tough time understanding your post and following exactly what is happening.

Why, exactly, did you uninstall Chrome (and HOW did you uninstall it)?

And STEP by STEP, what are you doing now when you try to reinstall Chrome (and from where did you download it)?

Hello, thank you for getting to me so quickly. I will attempt to explain more clearly. A couple of weeks ago, I had an attack from something calling itself Windows Safeguard Utility. It took my pc over. I finally managed to get Windows help screen and saw Bleeping Computer and rkill. After three days I managed to type rkill in at the start point and hit enter. Someone from BC was there on the spot and the menace was gone. It had damaged my files and folders, and websites would not open. Also on some of the sites that I could open, I could not type. I had downloaded Google Chrome from the Google
website some time ago. Google and other sites still do not work right so, I am attempting to uninstall then reinstall. I made IE my default browser, went to programs and features and uninstalled Google
Chrome. Now when I try to reinstall it, IE stops working. I tried to open my Yahoo mail and IE stopped working.

I sure could use some help, I believe I am making the situation worse.

When I attempt to reinstall Google Chrome, I go online directly to the Google Chrome website.

Which growser do you think is best?

Are you certain your system is now free of malware? Did a malware specialist on this site say it is? If not, please post in the Am I Infected forum.

So it seems as though that process was not completed, correct?
