Hi. Yesterday i managed to pick up the Windows 7 Recovery virus. Using guidance on here i managed to Kill the virus with Rkill and remove it with Malwarebites. When i rebooted the pc the start menu was empty, I then restored back to a previous date and everything seemed to work ok. I now find my document file is empty, or sort off. if i use word its shows the last 20 documents and all are readable no prob. if i go to documents either in windows or in dos it shows no documents in the folder.
Im running Windows 7 ultimate.

Restoring your computer to a date prior to your infection is rather risky as you could have potentially re-introduced the malware infection.
