Hi there

This is actually my first post. I have a pc with xp on it. I found one of those security malware this morning.

After investigating on a separate laptop, executed rkill and the malawarebytes.

although it seems to be clean, I dont have my docs and icons on the desktop.

I can only run a web browser throught the cmd prompt.

How do I restore it as it was before that security malware infected the pc? I tried a few things inc the fix reg exe but I am not too sure what to do after executing it and follow the instructions.

Thanks for your help!

Alex

FWIW: Rkill does nothing to remove malware...it's a tool used to offset some of the effects which installed malware may have, but it removes nothing.

I will move your topic to Am I Infected forum, where the more knowledgeable will assist you.

Louis
