Right on the heels of yesterdays change in Mac guard to use a new installer and downloader to bypass Apples latest security update, the malware developers have released a new variant called Mac Shield. This variant operates exactly like the others and continues to use the new mdInstall.pkg and mdDownloader.app to install the Mac Shield program into OS X. Just like yesterday, Apples security update is not catching this one and it installs without a security warning.
