I have a 1GB thumb drive that i got with something i bought a couple years ago.
When i insert it it starts some Opiron antivirus software that fails.
Ive tried to just delete the file but it wont let me.
Is there a way to completely reformat this thing so its just blank?

If you can get to My Computer, right click on the drive & select format.
In the beginning there was the command line.

i can get to my computer but it shows two different items
I can right click and format the USB Disk CD "K" drive, but NOT the CD Drive "portable AV USB".
Not sure why it call it a CD Drive, but if i pull the thumbdrive they both disappear.

Looks like the thumb drive is infected to me.

Try Flash Disinfector
In the beginning there was the command line.

Hmmm, downloaded flash disinfector, double click on it, short pause then nothing.
Looking back it doesn't list Win7 as a compatible OS.
Anything similar for W7 ( i tried run as administrator as well)
