Hello,
I was looking through a pile of CD's that came with my computer and saw this GigaByte CD, so I inserted it and installled EasyTune 5 it seems like a nice app gave my CPU Temperature and all it was high peak so I quickly opened up the windows and turned on the Air Conditioner! But I read an article about Overclocking and that said if you increase the FSB it makes your computer transfer data through the system faster but you have to drecrease something else but without drecreasing anything I pressed increase FSB nothing happened then after clicking a bit I drecreased and then increased the Voltage then after that I could increase my FSB as much as I wanted look at this:

I didn't save any changes without consulting help! Thank You

BTW: To start off the FSB was 200.00 now it is 260.00!! And my computer is at 3.2 Giga Hertz and the to expect was 4.1 Giga Hertz!! Could it be possible?

Possible - yes; probably - no.

What I suspect is happening here is that the changes weren't applied, and this just reflects what would happen if they were applied. (the word "expected" gave me this clue)

I'd expect that, if you do apply it, your system will crash. Either due to overheating of the CPU or some other component. Even if it doesn't overheat, the difference in the cycles will cause some problems with things like memory timing, etc.

If you're eager to learn about overclocking, I'd suggest that you visit this site: http://www.overclockers.com It's a very friendly and informative site - you can spend hours there going through all the ramification of an overclock (without destroying your system in the process!).

Not a problem! I was an avid overclocker for many years (there's a couple of articles by me still at the overclockers site).

Overclocking is great fun. If you do it properly, the risk to your system isn't very great (but your margin for error is decreased). I ran a 2.53 gHz P4 at 2.9 gHz for nearly a year on air cooling only without a problem (YMMV!)
