I'm running Windows Vista x64 on two identical Gateway PCs wirelessly connected through a LINKSYS WRT54GS2 V1 router 5-10ft from both computers with Cable Internet Connection.

I am able to detect both PCs on the network but when I try to access either from either (A>B or B>A) I get the previously mentioned error code. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Go to the command prompt on the other laptop and type ipconfig /all and take note of the IPV4 network address. The address for Tyler-pc is IPv4 Address. . 192.168.1.102. Next at the command prompt on each laptop type ping (ip address of other computer) for example to Ping tyler-pc you would type ping 192.168.1.102 at the command prompt of the other laptop. This will establish if a network connection is possible between the two computers. If the ping is successful its a Windows set-up problem and we can go from there.

Ok, when I ping from A>B I get 100% loss with zero successes...

When I ping from B>A I get 0% loss with 4 successes with a 2ms minimum, 6ms maximum and 3ms average...

From pinging the pc's and realizing that the problem was computer B blocking the transaction I was able to mess with the networking settings a little to get it to work... I honestly can't remember what I changed, but now it works no problem. Thanks!
