Okay, so my old hard drive seemed like it was nearing its last breath, so I used the Windows Backup and Restore Center to backup my entire HDD (about 400GB worth) onto an external HDD that I bought. After putting my new internal into my computer and loading up the Windows/HP CDs and whatnot, I plugged in my external. I went to the Restore section to see if I could restore all of those files from my external, but it seems to only work with a backup file that's already on this computer (all of my backed up files are on the external, not the computer). So how exactly would I go about doing this? Copy and pasting the files that I would want would take forever, and the folders aren't labeled very intuitively for being able to find things so I don't know what files would be in what folder.
