Hi

A couple of days ago I noticed that when searching with Google I was being redirected to completely random sites. At first this seemed to only be happening with Firefox but now it is also happening with IE. Today the problem has got worse and all my bookmarked links are also being redirectedto.

Having read a couple of forums (before landing here) I tried Hit Man Pro 3.5 which identified 4 trojans and Kasperskey DSSKiller which said all was ok. I also checked my hosts file which seems to be ok as well. But the problem is not resolved.

Before I do any serious damage I need help. I am running windows 7 if that is relevant.

Thanks

Jonty

Hi - read another post of a similar problem and I ran Malwarebytes and hey presto 9 infected files were removed, problem solved! Really helpful forum, got it bookmarked for future problems. Thank you.
