Hello

I'm getting very frequent BSODs. I'm not able to do anything on my computer. I've uninstalled my sound drivers but to no avail. First I get this BSOD 0x0000008E(0x0000005,0x805450B9,0xEE4A86D8,0x00000000) then this 0x0000000A(0x00000000,0x0000001E,0x00000001, 0x804DC902.

After that BSOD I stop noting down BSODs because I forgot, as my mind naturally was focus on locating the cause of BSODs. In one BSOD if I recall correctly cmuda.sys was mentioned and in another win3k.sys and in another IDSXP86.sys. First BSOD also mentioned this name IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. Rest come without any .sys file name and some with it. But I don't remember them because they were too frequent. Before this in the last 7 yrs I never got so many BSOD and too frequently. BTW this is what my last two minidumb files read by bluescreen viewer 1.5. Also see two attachments for detailed analysis.

Please follow these directions exactly. Your post of two BSODs...only reflects isolated instances, I'd like to see the history of all errors resulting in messages.

Download/install BlueScreenView, http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html.

Double-click BlueScreenView.exe file.

When scanning is done, Edit/Select All...then File/Save Selected Items.

Save the report as BSOD.txt.

Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content and paste it into your next reply.

Thanks for replying Louis. I didn't reply earlier because the Internet services were disrupted in my city and I've no access to it.

Sick of BSODs, here is what I did. I installed a brand new XP SP3 (integrated) on a new partition(D:drive). My earlier OS on C drive is still there but it seems to have been done in by BSODs. My mouse freezes after the boot on my earlier OS and I cannot log in. So I installed new OS to see and check whether the problem is with hardware or software.

Unfortunately, even on my newly installed OS I'm getting very frequent BSOD. I've installed NO driver on it as yet but still BSOD after BSOD. I've all the minidump files of these BSODs and I am posting and attaching them below for your urgent help. Please take some time off to analysis them. I will be very grateful and obliged to you for your assistance. I'm in dire need of help.

Meanwhile I've changed the slot of RAM as Microsoft was "suggesting" that something may be wrong with RAM after I sent them the error log of crash. Find below the .txt log of BSODs..which I'm getting on my newly installed system, not old.

You need to install the chipset driver followed by all other appropriate drivers. But at the very least, you MUST install the chipset driver.

Thanks Allan. But chipset driver and other drivers were installed in my earlier OS (Drive C) but still I was getting BSODs on it. Never before I got some many BSOD with so much frequency. It's almost a routine for my computer to give BSOD in every 5 minutes, sometimes 10, 20, 15, 30 minutes etc.

But anyway on your advice I'm installing all the drivers that came with my motherboard CD, which includes chipset driver also. You know earlier when I used to install new system and run it without installing any drivers, I never ever received any BSOD on it. At least I don't recall any such thing on my newly installed OS.

I think we need to get to the bottom of this problem and need to find out what actually is causing the BSODs. I'm also thinking of installing new BIOS battery btw. Let's see it helps or not.

Would appreciate more help, solution and assistance of any kind from forum members.

Regards

Well, it will solve a couple of the issues (I guaranty you had some devices not working in device manager). As for the others, have you run diagnostics on ram and hd? If not, please do the following:

1)To check the ram, download memtest (http://www.memtest.org/). Burn it to a cd using a dedicated .iso burning utility (http://www.petri.co.il/how_to_write_iso_files_to_cd.htm), make sure the cd drive is at the top of the boot order in bios, then boot to the newly created cd and run the utility.

2) Please boot to your Windows CD and choose the FIRST repair option. That will take you to the Recovery Console. Once there, run chkdsk /r
