I was using Myspace, clicked on pic and a fake AVAST warnng popped up to restart the computer to remove the boot virus. I clicked on it and the PC now will not boot up. Cannot use Safe Mode, it will not allow me to do anything except change the boot up. Do I need to boot up from USB using info. I need advice and the file to do that with.

Hello and :welcome: to the BC forums.

Please sit tight and be patient.

I have requested that an experienced helper who specialises in malware-related un-bootable computers respond to your topic.

Thank you.

Hi, can you please try to describe what the last thing is coming on screen?
Does the Advanced boot options menu come up when you tap F8? Do you see any error message?

regards, Elise
