Hello I've been having a problem with svchost.exe recently; me and a buddy tried a windows update application fix to no success. Not sure what the problem is here but I have the error logs from the event viewer.

Faulting application svchost.exe, version 5.1.2600.5512, faulting module esent.dll, version 5.1.2600.5512, fault address 0x0001baf4

Also this

Faulty application svchost.exe version 5.1.2600.5512 faulting module ntdll.dll version 5.1.2600.6055 fault address 0x00033302

Sorry if this isn’t enough info.

What kind of problems are you having with your computer?
If everything works fine, there is no reason to dig through Event Viewer.

Agreed with Broni, if windows is running without problems you can probably ignore these events. This is a commonly reported problem but it does not cause problems in most cases.

If some computer glitch happens just once, it can be safely ignored.
It just happens.

Did you get a failure code on the failed update? Maybe some 8 digit number possibly starting with an "8"?
