Hello All! My friend is having a problem where she tries to log on to her Windows XP account and when the desktop comes up, she is automatically logged off. This is occurring on all accounts right now. We have tried to do the Last Known Good Configuration. Is there anything else that we can do, or will we have to perform a C:\ drive recovery?

All help is greatly appreciated.

If it logs here off, can she log back on?

Does this happen in Safe Mode also (you can get to Safe Mode by mashing the F8 key at the moment that WindowsXP starts to load)?

Any recent changes to the system?

Is her antivirus and antispyware protection updated and has there been a scan recently?

Sorry for the lack of a reply. I went over there last night, and she decided that she'd just rather have some functionality back, so she did a restore on the partition of her hard drive with Windows. If there is some way to close or delete this topic, could someone please do it? I don't want it taking up space.
