WI-FI Configuration/Setup

I want to setup/configure a WI-FI network on computers without using the windows tool. I want to use a script or write a C++ program that will configure the WI-FI. Trouble is I do not know where the wireless properties live, files or registry keys.

Whats the make/model of the systems & router?
